Note cards and manuscripts collected by Donald Zacher Woods while writing his University of Minnesota Ph. D. thesis on the history of theater in Minneapolis. The note cards contain citations to newspaper articles, dating from 1856-1871, on the theater in Minneapolis. The manuscripts consist of the following: a letterhead for Russell-Morgan Print, Cincinnati and New York, Printer of theatrical posters (November 3, 1908); a letterhead for Ries Circuit Co., New York (September 9, 1910); a billing schedule of H.E. Pierce and Co's. Attractions, Duluth, Minn.; a letterhead for "The Tattle Tale", Chicago, Illinois, "Snappy News of Those Who Amuse" (October 17, 1921); and reports of the Actor's Equity Association (1923, 4 leaves).
